GUIDELINES FOR EDUCATIONAL GRANTS, SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES 2012

These guidelines have been written in order to assist those who wish to donate an educational grant, scholarship or a bursary, or establish such a fund, and for those who wish to accept the benefit of an educational grant, scholarship or bursary while attending an educational establishment (i.e. school, college or university).

GUIDELINES FOR “LOW HANDICAP” GOLFERS 2012

For golfers in the “low handicap” category, their greater skill raises their profile and increases the potential for problems with the Amateur Code. A number of the Rules of Amateur Status apply only to players with “golf skill or reputation”. These guidelines provide a brief guide for golfers in that category.

GUIDELINES ON CONTRACTS AND AGREEMENTS 2012

The 2012 Rules of Amateur Status, albeit with certain limitations, permit an amateur golfer to enter into contracts and agreements with (i) National Golf Unions or Associations, and (ii) Professional Agents, Sponsors and Other Third Parties.

GUIDELINES ON PRIZES FOR AMATEUR GOLFERS 2012

The Rules of Amateur Status apply to all competitions at a golf course, driving range or golf simulator where a player is asked to replicate a shot similar to that they would encounter during a round of golf.  These guidelines are designed to clarify the Rules as they apply to prizes.
