The World Amateur Golf Ranking® (WAGR®) comprises a women’s ranking and a men’s ranking for elite amateur players, administered by The R&A and USGA.
A global golf service, WAGR® currently incorporates over 7,100 events with more than 8,300 players as of the end of 2025. In addition, we provide the World Ranking for Golfers with Disability™ (WR4GD™) including amateur and professional men and women across three rankings for gross, net and stableford events. Rankings are updated weekly, with information on ranking points and counting events available on the WAGR® website. World Amateur Golf Ranking® (WAGR®)
Amateur pathways
The World Amateur Golf Ranking® provides elite opportunities for amateur golfers around the globe through the Global Amateur Pathway, the PGA TOUR University and the LPGA Collegiate Advancement Pathway. It also supports the Open Amateur Series and AIG Women's Open Amateur Series, facilitating a pathway into major championships.
Mark H McCormack Medal
Each year the Mark H McCormack Medal is awarded to the leading amateur players in the men's and women's game.
In 2025 Jackson Koivun won as the leading male player while Kiara Romero was awarded the McCormack Medal as the leading female player.
As a result Koivun earned exemptions into the US Open at Shinnecock Hills and The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale, while Romero claimed places at 2026 US Women’s Open Presented by Ally at The Riviera Country Club and the 2026 AIG Women’s Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes.
