At the end of the course, there is an opportunity to test your knowledge and understanding by undertaking The R&A’s Level 1 Exam and receive an official certificate. For competitively-minded candidates that wish to challenge their family and friends, a new monthly leaderboard has been introduced in addition to the ‘all time’ leaderboard.

The Rules Academy is ideal for individuals of all ages and targets golfers from beginners to professionals alike.

For example, The Ladies’ European Tour (LET) have a requirement for all aspiring Tour players to complete the Rules Academy as part of their induction programme.  This year Rosie Davies won the prize for achieving the top mark in the exam in the fastest time with recent two time winner on the LET, Aditi Ashok also achieving 100% in the online exam.

Derek Ervine, a club golfer from Northern Ireland who has gone on to attend The R&A’s Level 2 and 3 Rules and Referees courses, said “I thought the Academy website was well laid out and very inviting saying ‘come on and have a go’. It took you through the tutorials in a structured manner. The test at the end gives you the chance to again test your knowledge.”
