Ireland retained the Womens Senior Home Internationals title at Burnham & Berrow after edging out both England and Scotland on match points in a three-way tie.
The defending champions, who counted 2018 Womens Senior Amateur Champion Laura Webb among their ranks, narrowly lost their third and final match against Scotland 4½-3½ but thanks to wins against England (6½-1½) and Wales (5-3), they lifted the trophy for the second successive year.
The win marks Ireland’s fourth win in the Womens Senior Home Internationals since 2012.
England and Scotland were separated in the final standings after a 5-3 win for England gave them the better head-to-head record of the two sides. They defeated Wales 7-1 in their final match.
Wales finished in fourth place with three losses.
The 2019 Womens Senior Home Internationals will take place in County Sligo, Ireland from 1-3 October.
