The R&A employ staff in a diverse range of departments including golf development, course management, equipment testing, hospitality, Championship operations, Rules, finance, IT, marketing and communications, and golf heritage.  

Our jobs vacancies page displays employment opportunities in both permanent and temporary roles.  We are always on the lookout for talented individuals and encourage those who wish to develop their career at The R&A to upload their CV.

The R&A governs golf around the world and is at the forefront of in modernising the sport and making it more relevant to today’s society. We are looking for an experienced Head of Sustainability and Agronomy, with a passion for sport, to join our Asia – Pacific team based in Singapore. 

The R&A’s purpose is to make golf more accessible, appealing and inclusive and to ensure its thriving 50 years from now and you will support The R&A’s strategy and increase awareness of our governance work; our world class amateur and professional championships, including The Open and the AIG Women’s British Open; and our investment in developing golf worldwide.

Environmental matters and sustainability are significant issues that the golf industry faces in Asia Pacific region and golf clubs are under increasing scrutiny and pressure to ensure they adopt sustainable practices.  Information regarding best practices and sustainable golf course management can however be confusing and at times it is difficult to determine the most appropriate approach needed.

The Finance department plays a key role in supporting that purpose and we are looking for a Finance Project Business Analyst to join the Finance Project Team and provide accounting support to the Finance Project Manager.  This is a newly created role and presents an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

The R&A (the governing body for golf and organiser of The Open Championship) is seeking to fill an exciting position within their Championships team.

Based in St Andrews and reporting to the Project Manager  Championships, this key role will embrace a wide range of duties in organising, planning and delivering the specific celebrations for 150th playing of The Open in 2021. 

In addition to this there will be an opportunity to work on further Championships delivered by The R&A. This is an exciting opportunity that would suit a recent graduate or someone at entry level, who is looking for their first step on the career ladder in a role that is challenging, rewarding and will hone on your event skills.
