Preparation is complete and the action is soon to get under way at the 51st Walker Cup.
Twenty of the world’s best amateur golfers are set to battle it out in the prestigious team event at Lahinch on Saturday and Sunday. Dean Robertson’s Great Britain and Ireland side hosts Nathan Smith’s United States team for two days of foursomes and singles match play, with the winner taking home one of the most coveted prizes in amateur golf. The GB&I squad, featuring the Amateur and US Amateur Champions, is aiming to halt a streak of five consecutive American victories. Meanwhile, a star-studded USA team boasting seven of the top ten World Amateur Golf Rankings® (WAGR®) golfers will be eager to maintain their recent dominance on away soil.
