Join us online for Golf & Nature Live, St Andrews - an inspiring event celebrating the powerful relationship between golf and nature.

Hosted by David Garrido of Sky Sports News, the special broadcast takes place at 3pm (BST) on Thursday 21 May 2026. The event will bring together voices from across the sport to showcase the incredible work being done to protect and enhance habitats on golf courses around the world. Attendees will hear from an array of experts on different aspects of golf and nature, including:

Richard Windows - Assistant Director - Sustainable Agronomy, The R&A
Sophie Olejnik - Freelance Ecological Consultant, Oleo Ecology
Alexander Damkær Hansen - Sustainability Consultant, the Danish Golf Union
Lauren Edwards - Assistant Clubhouse Manager and Biodiversity Champion at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club

The event will build on the success of The R&A and the French Golf Federation’s Fairways to Nature Conference in Paris in January 2025. John Kemp, Assistant Director – Sustainable Golf Development at The R&A said, "It’s so important to recognise and celebrate the individuals and initiatives having a positive impact on golf and nature. The natural habitats where the sport is played are home to countless protected and iconic species, and we all have a duty to protect them. "Golf & Nature Live, St Andrews will bring together various experts to highlight and inspire what the sport is doing and will continue to do so that nature always has a home on the course."
