AIG Women's Open Amateur Series

Elite amateur players competing in Europe were provided an additional chance to qualify for the AIG Women’s Open. The best performing player across the AIG Women's Open Amateur Series, a sequence of three elite amateur championships, gained a place at Royal Lytham & St Annes from 30 July to 2 August. This was determined by World Amateur Golf Ranking® (WAGR®)  points secured at the St Rule Trophy, The Women’s Amateur Championship and the European Ladies’ Amateur Championship. AIG Women’s Open Amateur Series – Counting events

The AIG Women’s Open Amateur Series exemption is in addition to a number of other exemptions available for amateur players to reach this summers major Championship at Royal Lytham & St Annes, including by virtue of winning The Women’s Amateur and European Ladies’ Amateur.
