Featuring male players aged 50 or over, the Senior Open presented by Rolex is one of the most sought after titles in the senior game.

In 2022 at Gleneagles, Darren Clarke held off a late charge from ex-Ryder Cup team-mate Padraig Harrington to claim a one-shot victory after a weather-delayed final round. Clarke – the 2011 Champion Golfer of the Year – mixed two birdies with a lone bogey in tough conditions on the King's Course, seeing the Northern Irishman finish on ten-under-par at the Perthshire venue. Clarke joined an illustrious group including Tom Watson, Sir Bob Charles and Gary Player to have won both The Open and Senior Open.

Royal Porthcawl, Wales

The Senior Open Presented by Rolex will return to Royal Porthcawl for the first time in six years. The Championship will visit the South Wales venue for the third time, a year after Gleneagles hosted the event in 2022. The venue, which offers stunning views across Swansea Bay to the Gower Peninsula and offers a true test of links golf, has previously hosted numerous prestigious championships such as The Amateur and the Walker Cup.
