Featuring male players aged 50 or over, the Senior Open presented by Rolex is one of the most sought after titles in the senior game.
In 2022 at Gleneagles, Darren Clarke held off a late charge from ex-Ryder Cup team-mate Padraig Harrington to claim a one-shot victory after a weather-delayed final round. Clarke – the 2011 Champion Golfer of the Year – mixed two birdies with a lone bogey in tough conditions on the King's Course, seeing the Northern Irishman finish on ten-under-par at the Perthshire venue.
Clarke joined an illustrious group including Tom Watson, Sir Bob Charles and Gary Player to have won both The Open and Senior Open.
