Ball played from wrong tee – Stroke Play
When starting a hole, if you play a ball from outside the teeing area (including from a wrong set of tee markers on the same hole or on a different hole), in stroke play, the ball is not in play. You get the general penalty (two penalty strokes) and you must correct the mistake by playing a ball from inside the teeing area. If you do not correct the mistake before starting the next hole, you are disqualified.
