Club Groove Informational Database


What is it?

The Club Groove Informational Database is a tool designed to assist golfers determine the status of their irons, wedges, fairway woods and hybrids against the pre-2010 and post-2010 groove Rules. The database itself is not the focus of a condition of competition. However, it can be used by a player to ascertain whether his club meets the requirements of the Groove Condition.

How often is this List updated?

No fixed schedule; as and when required.

How do I identify my club?

When searching the List, close attention should be paid to the "Identification Markings". These are a detailed description of the markings on the clubhead, which identify the exact model in question, as distinguishable from another. (Link to 3e)

What if my club is not listed?

It may not have been submitted, but may still conform It may pre-date 1995 If it is a fairway wood or hybrid, with a loft less than 25 degrees. Such clubs are only listed if they have been submitted and they were found not to conform to the post-2010 specifications
