The R&A
Locations

The R&A is based in St Andrews, at the home of golf.

The R&A World Golf Museum is also based in St Andrews, while The R&A's equipment testing facility is based near-by at Kingsbarns, incorporating Allan Robertson House and the surrounding environment. The world-class testing and research facility brought the operations of the Equipment Standards department under one roof, enabling the delivery of an enhanced service to golfers, manufacturers and affiliated organisations.

Sentosa

In 2016, The R&A opened a new office at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore to further its commitment to the growth and development of golf throughout Asia-Pacific.  The Asia-Pacific team looks after our interests in this region, including championship support and operations, golf development initiatives, sponsor identification and engagement, referee and rules education; and agronomy and sustainability initiatives.

Pilar

The R&A’s Latin America and Caribbean team is located in Argentina at Pilar Golf, also home to the Argentine Golf Association. The team is responsible for building relations with our affiliates in the region, evaluating ongoing and new programmes supported by The R&A.  Working with The Masters and the USGA, the team organises the Latin America Amateur Championship, as well as the Women’s Amateur Latin America Championship, also supported by the ANNIKA Foundation.

Key Projects

Lethamhill

Opening in 2023, The R&A is creating a brand new community golf facility at Lethamhill in Glasgow.  The new family-focused facility will be designed for everyone, regardless of age or ability, and include the creation of a nine-hole course, putting greens, short-game area, adventure golf and a floodlit driving range.
