Ball in motion deflected - Ball deliberately stopped by person
This Rule applies only when it is known or virtually certain that your ball in motion was deliberately deflected or stopped by a person. A player who deliberately deflects or stops any ball in motion gets the general penalty. If the deliberately deflected ball was played from anywhere except the putting green, you must take relief based on the estimated spot where the ball would have come to rest if not deflected or stopped (see Rule 11.2c for how to take relief).
