The Jacques Léglise Trophy is the under-18 equivalent of the St Andrews Trophy. 

It is played annually with the venue alternating between Great Britain and Ireland and the Continent of Europe. Many of today’s top professionals, like Luke Donald and Sergio Garcia, have contested the Trophy in the past. Jacques Léglise served as President of the French Golf Federation and of the European Golf Association.

GB&I Team Selection Criteria -(team of 9)

  • The current Boys’ Champion if eligible.
  • Remaining places selected by Committee.
GB&I eligibility is based on being eligible to play for one of the Home Nations.
The Jacques Leglise Trophy

2024 Match

The ninth oldest club in England hosts the Jacques Leglise Trophy in 2024. Founded in 1873 in Blundellsands Liverpool, it boasts one of the most natural and testing links found anywhere in the British Isles. West Lancashire hosted Final Qualifying for The Open in 2023 and The Women’s Amateur Championship in 2020, won by Germany’s Aline Krauter.
