The R&A Foundation transforms lives, communities and society.

Golf demands humility and integrity, strategy and dedication, sportsmanship and resilience from every person who picks up a club. The R&A Foundation believes that these values can shape a better, more inclusive future, far beyond the course.  We diversify where and how people access our sport, and share the joy of golf with new players of all ages and backgrounds. By applying the values which make our sport great, we challenge inequality, broaden opportunity and enable anyone with drive to reach their potential

Golf It!

To increase the accessibility and inclusivity of golf for the whole family, The R&A has created Golf It! This exciting new golf and recreation concept in Lethamhill, Glasgow is bringing our sport back to the heart of the community. The R&A Foundation will ensure that it attracts new players, delights existing golfers and delivers the benefits of our game to an even wider audience. Through extensive education and outreach programmes, we are giving 42,500 children the chance to engage with our sport.

EDGA Partnership

The R&A Foundation provides funding to EDGA, an organisation promoting opportunities for golfers with disabilities to enjoy the sport at every level. EDGA offers accommodated training sessions at golf facilities, specialised technology for increased accessibility, and golf competitions for disabled players.  In 2023 we were proud to support the first ever G4D Open, developed with EDGA and staged by The R&A with the DP World Tour at Woburn.
