Killiney Golf Club historically had a low water requirement for greens only irrigation (3,750m3 a year). This was sourced from a combination of an old onsite borehole (2,300m3 a year) and mains back up (1450m3 a year) water which fed a small 1,200m3 storage tank. In recent years, the Club have added tee & approach irrigation to the system, increasing water demand by approximately 75% (2835m3 a year), to make a total annual demand of 6585m3.
